Lapis Lazuli is one of the oldest known gemstones and has been used to make jewelry in various parts of the world since prehistoric times. In ancient cultures such as Egypt, Mexico, and the Eastern Empires, it was considered a sacred stone and was highly prized. Kings and queens around the world loved and wore Lapis Lazuli.
The name comes from Latin and means "blue stone". It is said to enhance one's own sincerity and credibility and promote the willingness to recognize, accept, and speak the truth.
The pendant is made of 925 sterling silver and features a completely gold-plated setting that perfectly complements the faceted Lapis Lazuli with its small golden inclusions. The matte silver loop has the shape of a curved tube and fits perfectly with our ‘silver snake necklace’. The pendant can be combined with other models from the Lapis Lazuli collection, which includes two pendants, a necklace, a pair of earrings, and two rings.
The dynamic curved designs required detailed Balinese silver craftsmanship and precise transitions. The smooth incorporation of the stone into the setting is the work of our professional silversmiths with whom we have been working for 20 years.
The pendant is shown here on our ‘silver snake necklace’, which can be found via the following link:
